A. PADI (Lowland Rice + Field Rice)
The Fixed Figures (ATAP) of West Sulawesi Province's 2012 rice production was 412,338 tons of Dry Grain (GKG), an increase of 46,655 tons (12.76 percent) compared to rice production in 2011, which was 365,683 tons. One factor that led to an increase in rice production in 2012 was an increase in harvested area of around 7,449 ha (9.76 percent), besides rice productivity also increased by around 1.31 kw / ha (2.73 percent).
The calculation result of Prediction I in 2013 is estimated that West Sulawesi Paddy production will again increase by approximately 15,099 tons (3.66 Percent) compared to 2012, in other words the estimated end of 2013 rice production is around 427,437 tons. The increase was triggered by an increase in 2013 rice harvest area of approximately 6,143 ha (7.33 Percent) but is expected to be accompanied by a decrease in productivity of around 1.68 kw / ha) due to climate factors.
B. CORN
The Fixed Figures (ATAP) of West Sulawesi Province's 2012 corn production was 122,554 tons of dry shelled, an increase of 39,559 tons (47.66 percent) compared to 2011's production of 82,995 tons. The increase in corn production was triggered by an increase in harvested area of 7,769 ha (44.72 percent) compared to 2011. While in terms of productivity it increased by 0.97 quintals / hectare (2.03 percent) compared to 2011.
Forecast Number I (ARAM I) of West Sulawesi Province corn production in 2013 was 120,120 tons of dry shelled or decreased by 2,434 tons (1.98 percent) compared to the 2012 production. The decline in corn production was more due to the reduction in harvested area in 2013 which reached 1,825 ha (7.25 percent) due to an increase in productivity of about 2.77 kw / ha (5.68 percent).
C. SOYBEAN
The ROOF of soybean production in West Sulawesi Province in 2012 was 3,222 tons of dry beans, an increase compared to 2011's production of 789 tons (32.42 percent). The difference in soybean production was due to an increase in soybean harvest area in 2012 of around 257 ha (20.78 Percent) increase was also supported by an increase in productivity of about 2.15 kw / ha (15.59 percent).
Forecast Number I soybean production in West Sulawesi Province in 2013 is estimated at 3,256 tons of dry beans or up about 34 tons (1.05 percent) compared to 2012 production. The increase in soybean production is estimated due to increased soybean productivity by 0.53 kw / ha ( 3.32 Percent) in 2013 because of the 2013 harvested area there was a decrease of 44 ha (2.17 percent).
