Abstract

The West Sulawesi Consumer Tendency Index (ITK) in the first quarter of 2013 was 104.04, meaning that the economic condition of consumers improved from the previous quarter. The improvement in consumer economic conditions is mainly an increase in household income (index value 104.68) and inflationary pressures that have no effect on food consumption (index value 105.49).

Compared to other provinces on Sulawesi Island, the acquisition of ITK West Sulawesi ranks 4th. The highest ITK was 105.85 in North Sulawesi Province and the lowest was Southeast Sulawesi Province 102.18.

On a national level, the position of ITK West Sulawesi is slightly below the national achievement of 104.70.
