Sulawesi Barat rice production in 2011 amounted to 365 683 tons of dry unhusked rice (GKG), an increase of 2,783 tons (0.77 percent) compared to the production in 2010, amounting to 362 900 tonnes. The increase in rice production in 2011 due to increased harvested area of 424 hectares (0.56 percent), and in terms of productivity increases by about 0.10 kw / ha (0.21 per cent).

Sulawesi Barat corn production in 2011 amounted to 82 995 tons of dry seed, an increase of 24 975 tonnes (43.05 percent) compared to production in 2010 amounted to 58 020 tonnes. Increased corn production is triggered by an increase in harvested area of 4,064 ha (30.54 percent) of the 13 308 ha in 2010 to 17 372 ha in 2011. In terms of productivity increased by 4.18 quintals / hectare (9.59 percent), namely from 43.60 quintals / hectare in 2010 to 47.78 quintals / hectare in 2011.

Sulawesi Barat soybean production in 2011 amounted to 2,433 tons of dry beans, a decrease of 762 tons (23.85 percent) compared to production in 2010. The decrease in production due to decreased harvested area of 319 ha (15.31 per cent) and also a decrease in productivity by 1.55 quintals / hectare (10.10 percent).
