Abstract
RICE, MAIZE AND SOYBEAN PRODUCTION (FIXED 2009 AND RAMALAN FIGURES III 2010) A. PADI (Lowland Rice + Field Rice) Fixed figures (ROOF) of West Sulawesi Province 2009 rice production amounted to 310,706 tons of Dry Milled Grain (GKG), decreased 32,515 tons (-9.47 percent) compared to rice production in 2008, which amounted to 343,221 tons. The decline in rice production in 2009 was due to a decrease in harvested area of 7,498 hectares (-10.35 percent), however in terms of productivity it increased by 0.46 kw / ha (0.97 percent). Furthermore, the Forecast III (ARAM III) of West Sulawesi Province's rice production in 2010 was estimated at 364,670 tons of MPD, an increase of about 53,964 tons (17.37 percent) compared to 2009 production. The increase in production in 2010 was mainly due to an increase in harvested area of 11,880 ha (18.28 percent), from 64,973 hectares in 2009 to 76,853 hectares in 2010 (ARAM III 2010). However, in terms of productivity there was a decrease from 47.82 quintals / hectare in 2009 to 47.45 quintals / hectare in 2010, or decreased by 0.37 quintals / hectare (-0.77 percent). The increase in harvested area is the impact of a very favorable climate so that rice fields which are usually only planted once a year, in 2010 can be planted up to twice. B. CORN Fixed Numbers (ROO) corn production in West Sulawesi Province in 2009 was 58,320 tons of dry shelled, an increase of 18,068 tons (44.89 percent) compared to 2008 production. Increased corn production was triggered by an increase in harvested area of 2,584 hectares ( 28.36 percent) and also increased productivity by 5.69 quintals / hectare (12.88 percent), from 44.18 quintals / hectare in 2008 to 49.87 quintals / hectare in 2009. Forecast figure III ( ARAM III) corn production in West Sulawesi Province in 2010 was 52,868 tons dry shelled or decreased by 5,452 tons (-9.35 percent) compared to 2009 production. The decline in corn production was triggered by a decrease in harvested area of 572 hectares (-4.89) percent) and also decreased productivity by 2.34 quintals / hectare (-4.69 percent). C. SOYBEAN The soybean production roof of West Sulawesi Province in 2009 was 3,153 tons of dry beans,
