Abstract
RICE, MAIZE AND SOYBEAN PRODUCTION (FIXED FIGURE 2007 AND RAMALAN FIGURE II 2008) A. RICE (Lowland Rice + Field Rice); The Fixed Rate (ATAP) of Sulawesi Barat Province's rice production in 2007 was 312,676 tons of Dry Grain (GKG), an increase of 11,060 tons (3.67 percent) compared to rice production in 2006, which was 301,616 tons. The increase in rice production in 2007 was supported by an increase in productivity of 0.14 quintal / hectare (0.30 percent) and also an increase in harvested area of 2,168 hectares (3.36 percent). ; Furthermore, the Forecast Number II (ARAM II) of Sulawesi Barat Province's rice production in 2008 is estimated to reach 322,748 tons of MPD, an increase of 10,072 tons (3.22 percent) compared to 2007 production. The increase in production in 2008 was triggered by an increase in productivity which is also expected to increase from 46.93 quintals / hectare in 2007 to 48.25 quintals / hectare in 2008, or an increase of 1.32 quintals / hectare (2.81 percent), as well as the estimated harvested area of 257 hectares (0, 39 percent), from 66,630 hectares in 2007 to 66,887 hectares in 2008 (ARAM II 2008) B.
