West Sulawesi Provincial Government Earns Its 12th Unqualified Opinion, BPS-Statistics Indonesia of Sulawesi Barat Province Appreciates Commitment to Regional Financial Management

Mamuju, June 11, 2026 – BPS-Statistics Indonesia of Sulawesi Barat Province attended the Plenary Meeting of the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) of West Sulawesi Province for the Submission of the Audit Report (LHP) of the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK RI) on the 2025 Financial Statements of the West Sulawesi Provincial Government. The event was held on Thursday (June 11) at the DPRD Hall of West Sulawesi Province.


During the meeting, BPK RI presented the results of its audit on the financial management and accountability of the West Sulawesi Provincial Government for Fiscal Year 2025. Based on the audit findings, the Provincial Government once again received an Unqualified Opinion (Wajar Tanpa Pengecualian/WTP), marking its 12th achievement of the highest audit opinion.


Head of the General Affairs Division of BPS-Statistics Indonesia of Sulawesi Barat Province, Chitra Dewi Said, explained that the plenary meeting served as a forum for delivering BPK’s audit results on the regional government’s financial statements and as an opportunity to evaluate regional financial governance.


"Today's activity was the plenary meeting of the Regional House of Representatives of West Sulawesi Province for the submission of the audit report conducted by BPK on the 2025 Financial Statements of the West Sulawesi Provincial Government. Based on the audit results, the provincial government successfully obtained an Unqualified Opinion, indicating that the financial statements were fairly presented in accordance with applicable government accounting standards," she stated.


As a participant, BPS-Statistics Indonesia of Sulawesi Barat Province attended the presentation and reviewed the findings, issues, and recommendations provided by BPK RI that require follow-up actions from the West Sulawesi Provincial Government to further improve the quality of regional financial management.


Furthermore, BPS-Statistics Indonesia of Sulawesi Barat Province expressed its appreciation for the Provincial Government’s achievement in maintaining its Unqualified Opinion status.


"As participants, we appreciate the achievement of the West Sulawesi Provincial Government in once again obtaining an Unqualified Opinion from BPK RI. This marks the 12th time the Provincial Government has received this opinion, and we hope it will serve as motivation to continue maintaining and enhancing the quality of regional financial management," she added.


The participation of BPS-Statistics Indonesia of Sulawesi Barat Province in this event reflects its support for strengthening transparent, accountable, and data-driven governance, while also fostering inter-agency collaboration in support of sustainable regional development.
