Mamuju, June 10, 2026 – BPS-Statistics Indonesia of Sulawesi Barat Province continues to strengthen collaboration with various stakeholders to support the successful implementation of the 2026 Economic Census (EC2026). One of these efforts was carried out through a coordination meeting with the Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Office of Sulawesi Barat Province on Wednesday (June 10) at the ESDM Office.

The meeting aimed to discuss the support and facilitation provided by the ESDM Office for the implementation of the Joint Questionnaire Completion (Ngisi Bareng/Ngibar) program for companies operating in the mining and energy sectors. The program is one of BPS's strategies to assist business entities in completing the Economic Census questionnaire accurately and comprehensively through direct guidance from census personnel.

As the government institution responsible for overseeing businesses in the mining and energy sectors, the ESDM Office plays a strategic role in facilitating coordination with target companies. Such support is expected to enhance business participation and contribute to the production of complete, accurate, and high-quality data.

During the meeting, Pertiwi, Senior Statistician of BPS-Statistics Indonesia of Sulawesi Barat Province, emphasized the importance of inter-agency collaboration in ensuring the success of EC2026.

"We expect the support of the ESDM Office to facilitate coordination with mining and energy companies so that the Joint Questionnaire Completion program can be implemented smoothly and produce high-quality data. Reliable data serves as an essential foundation for development planning and policymaking," she stated.

Responding to the initiative, Ilham, Head of the Mineral and Coal Division of the ESDM Office of Sulawesi Barat Province, expressed the institution's commitment to supporting the program.

"We are ready to provide support and facilitate the implementation of the Joint Questionnaire Completion program for mining and energy companies under our supervision. This collaboration is expected to generate comprehensive data that will support the development of the energy and mining sectors in Sulawesi Barat," he said.

As a follow-up to the coordination meeting, BPS-Statistics Indonesia of Sulawesi Barat Province and the ESDM Office have begun preparing technical arrangements and developing the implementation schedule for the Joint Questionnaire Completion program. Through this collaboration, both institutions are committed to supporting the success of the 2026 Economic Census as a foundation for providing accurate, reliable, and relevant economic data for regional and national development.
