Mamuju, 10 June 2026 – BPS-Statistics Indonesia of Sulawesi Barat Province conducted its weekly 2026 Economic Census (SE2026) assembly under the banner of SEIRAMA (Economic Census Synergy Meeting and Joint Assembly) at the BPS Sulawesi Barat Tennis Court on Wednesday (10/6). The event served as an important occasion to strengthen the commitment of all employees to the successful implementation of the 2026 Economic Census through enhanced work culture, collaboration, and data quality.

In her remarks, Suri Handayani, Head of BPS-Statistics Indonesia of Sulawesi Barat Province, emphasized that the 2026 Economic Census is a national mandate with a strategic role in providing a comprehensive picture of Indonesia’s economic conditions and structure. The resulting data will serve as a critical foundation for formulating development policies, strengthening investment, creating employment opportunities, and improving public welfare.

“The 2026 Economic Census is not solely the responsibility of the technical team; it is the responsibility of every member of BPS. Its success will determine the quality of information that serves as the foundation for various development policies and efforts to improve people's welfare,” said Suri Handayani.

On the occasion, she also encouraged all employees to uphold the BerAKHLAK Core Values of Indonesia’s Civil Service and the five organizational culture values of BPS in carrying out their duties. These values include leading by example, fostering innovation at every level, strengthening communication and collaboration, maintaining a strong commitment to data quality, and embracing both hard work and smart work.

In addition to reinforcing organizational culture, she highlighted the importance of strengthening risk management, developing effective enumeration strategies, optimizing public outreach activities, and building synergies with local governments, business communities, community leaders, and the media to support the smooth implementation of SE2026.

“There is no compromise when it comes to data quality. Ambitious targets must go hand in hand with data that are accurate, relevant, and trustworthy, because poor-quality data will lead to misguided policies,” she stressed.

Through the regular implementation of the SEIRAMA forum, BPS-Statistics Indonesia of Sulawesi Barat Province aims to strengthen internal coordination, enhance activity monitoring, and encourage innovation at both provincial and regency/municipality levels. Guided by the spirit of collaboration, integrity, and professionalism, all personnel of BPS Sulawesi Barat remain committed to ensuring the success of the 2026 Economic Census and producing high-quality statistics as a foundation for sustainable economic development.
