Mamuju (17/01/2025) - BPS-Statistics of Sulawesi Barat Province held its first rally in 2025 on Friday (17/1), in the BPS office yard. This roll call was attended by all employees and became a forum for improving discipline and conveying directions or information from the leadership. This rally is held every 17th of every month. Apart from that, this event is also a momentum to start the new year with new enthusiasm, as well as a place to present awards to the best employees and other awards.
Head of General Affairs, Markus Uda, who acted as leader of the rally representing the Head of BPS-Statistics of Sulawesi Barat Province, read the welcoming text from Plt. Head of BPS-Statistics. In this speech, various achievements of BPS in 2024 were presented, including the success of hosting the Regional Hub on Big Data and Data Science in Asia Pacific. This achievement strengthens BPS's position as a leader in the development of big data at the international level.
Apart from that, appreciation was also given for various achievements at the regional level, including the achievement of the WBK and WBBM Integrity Zone titles by several work units, as well as other awards in the fields of human resource management and public services. In terms of financial accountability, BPS again received the Unqualified Predicate (WTP) for the eighth time in a row.
Closing his remarks, Plt. The Head of BPS-Statistics reminded him of the importance of working carefully, collaboratively and data-based. 2025 is said to be a crucial year, considering that there are preparations for the implementation of the 2026 Economic Census and the Inter-Census Population Survey (SUPAS). He also emphasized the strategic role of BPS in managing national social and economic data into a single data that will become a reference in social protection programs.
“Continue to maintain your commitment and enthusiasm in building the Republic through the data we produce. BPS is the ground for our struggle. "Let's take care of it and protect it by working as well as possible to produce data that is not only meaningful, but also has an impact on the nation's progress," concluded Markus.
This inaugural ceremony was also a special moment with the presentation of various awards. BPS West Sulawesi received an award from Plt. Head of BPS-Statistics for his success in Archives Management within the Work Unit with an Internal Archives Audit Score for 2024 of 93.76, which is included in the AA Category (Very Satisfactory).
Apart from that, the Employee of the Quarter award for the 3rd and 4th quarters of 2024 was presented to Misnawati Mansur and Yenni Kurnia. This award is given as a form of appreciation for their dedication, performance and extraordinary contribution in supporting the duties and functions of BPS.
